UK Veteran DragonBet Completes Full Platform Migration: A Landmark Move for White-Label Solutions

On September 22, UK independent operator DragonBet announced a long-term technology partnership agreement with platform provider BVGroup, migrating its online sports and gaming operations entirely to the latter's BV:360 platform. The migration window is set for Q1 2027, with preliminary assessment and cutover already scheduled.

DragonBet is no novice — this is its third technology infrastructure change in five years. When it launched in 2022, it used FansUnite's Chameleon platform, later moved to Playbook Gaming, and now is migrating entirely to BV:360. A UK homegrown brand willing to switch repeatedly suggests at least two things: the switch itself is not as daunting as imagined, and once platform capabilities can no longer keep up with growth, dragging it out costs more than replacing it.

Under the agreement, DragonBet will use BVGroup's capabilities across five areas: sports, gaming, player account management, payments, and compliance. Brand, market strategy, and compliance operations remain in its own hands. CEO David Lovell's exact words were that this partnership lets DragonBet continue to be DragonBet — its independence and drive unchanged — only handing the technology infrastructure to more specialized people to carry, while the team refocuses on customer acquisition and product.

This news is worth noting for teams currently evaluating platform solutions. Full migration is the heaviest action in an integrated platform system. DragonBet set aside an entire quarter for phased cutover, with sports and gaming content connected through the same gaming API integration, and accounts and payments following the platform — essentially outsourcing the most troublesome parts in one go. When evaluating suppliers, list hard metrics like downtime, data migration, and API integration processes and ask about each one. Those who cannot answer can basically be crossed off first.
