Fake Games Are Hard to Prevent: Platforms Are Making Integrity Signals a Built-In Feature

On September 29, game integrity platform Gamecheck announced a partnership with iGaming platform provider Pronet Gaming to integrate its Gamecheck SEAL trust badge into Pronet's operator network. In plain terms: from now on, any operator built on the Pronet platform can, from day one of launch, display a live badge in their website footer showing that their games have been verified and are genuine.

Fake games are a long-standing problem in this industry. Players encounter copied games, games with altered outcomes, and sites that package themselves as legitimate operators while hosting a bunch of games with no connection to the original providers. Players lose money and trust, and the industry suffers as a whole. Gamecheck was built for exactly this: it takes a batch of games directly to the original providers for verification, confirms they are genuine, and then issues a SEAL to the website.

This SEAL is not just an image. It is bound to a specific domain and carries a QR code. Players can scan it with the Gamecheck app to see the site's real-time verification records, all recorded on the blockchain and tamper-proof. Operators must pass four backend checks before receiving it. If fake games are detected, the SEAL is immediately revoked, and the operator must wait a full year before reapplying.

For teams comparing white-label platform solutions, the point here is not just Gamecheck itself. The real signal is that player protection is shifting from something operators worry about on their own to a built-in platform feature. Platform providers manage the game catalogs and high-concurrency architecture for dozens or hundreds of operators, so building trust signals in means covering the entire network at once.

Gamecheck founder James Elliott put it bluntly: platform providers are the driving force behind scaling SEAL adoption. Pronet Gaming CEO Alex Leese said that letting every operator on their infrastructure prove their games are genuine matters to players and matters equally to the platform. So next time you evaluate a platform, beyond asking about content integration, data dashboards, and concurrency capacity, it is worth asking one more question: are integrity verification and player protection built into the platform? This is becoming a commercially valuable differentiator. To discuss further, contact us.
