On September 14, content supplier BETER officially announced that it had obtained a "Gaming-Related Supplier Registration" from AGCO, the gaming regulator of Ontario, Canada. Going forward, it can formally supply licensed operators in the province, covering live streams, real-time data, and odds. Teams currently selecting a white-label platform solution should read this news twice—it is not about one company, but about the entire content supply chain changing.
BETER delivers more than 740,000 fast-paced events a year, covering three major categories: esports, table tennis, and basketball. A single event can be broken down into up to 50 data dimensions, and the company reports average gross margin above 8%. This supplier has already secured registration in 10 U.S. states. Ontario is another step in its North American expansion, with Alberta as its next target and likely the second Canadian province to grant approval.
Ontario's compliance threshold is widely regarded as high in North America, and suppliers that pass review are effectively stamped by the market. This signal is even more practical for platform operators: the focus of content supply is shifting from "who has more games" to "who has more complete licenses." If a one-stop white-label platform lacks the ability to connect with compliant suppliers, no matter how polished the front end looks, it still cannot enter these markets.
First, look at the supplier's license coverage, especially in high-threshold regions such as Ontario. Second, check whether gaming API integration can truly bring content in, rather than stopping at a demo deck. Multi-language and H5 are the surface; content and licenses are the substance.
BETER's CEO put it bluntly: exclusive content is its leverage for entering new markets. The reverse is also true—platform operators that want to stand firm in compliant markets must first think clearly about where content supply comes from.
